Hailing from Richmond Virginia, The Analogue Republic is an unconventional "power trio” merging blues, jazz, funk and rock to form a unique voice that pays tribute to its many influences. The group dishes out tight groove oriented music reminiscent of bands such as, Galactic, Lettuce and John Scofield. The guitar-centric project is headed up by Gary Titi who brings a jazz flavor with decidedly pop sensibilities. Kevin Gaines on the drums and Sean Yeskoo on double bass create a solid driving rhythm section. Charlie Kilpatrick on keys adds some wonderful melodic flavor. Carla Jackson on vocals brings it all together.The project is often a workshop of sorts, sometimes weaving in other instrumentalists to add to the sonic stew. Fans of accessible groove based jazz should appreciate what the band has to offer
